Considering a new stove is a great choice to make if you have a traditional open fire saving you money and the planet by reducing emissions. A wood burning stove will significantly reduce fuel consumption compared to an open fire. Wood burning stoves are the more popular choice today due to the mesmerizing flame patterns, super efficiency and eco credentials. As a result, many manufacturers are moving away from Multi-fuel options as wood is the most economical and emission-friendly method of providing heat. If wood fuel seems like a chore then you may wish to opt for a multifuel stove. This will give you the option of burning both wood or bagged fuels such as anthracite, smokeless briquettes or peat etc. Storing these bagged fuels is likely to be easier than storing wood. 

These fuels offer the other advantage of burning roughly twice as long as wood, however they offer little visual enjoyment due to a lack of a flame associated with wood burning. All of our gas appliances are fitted safely and reliably by our Gas Safe Installer and are offered in natural gas or LPG options by most manufacturers. If you have a chimney this can be utilised for the most cost effective solution although some gas stoves can be installed without a chimney using a balanced flue. Electric stoves are slowly becoming established within the marketplace due to their ability to be positioned almost anywhere in a property. The fake flame patterns are becoming more realistic allowing the user to embrace the illusion to a greater realism than before. Most have an additional fan heater to allow some useful heat to be produced. 

You can opt for the traditional freestanding electric stove or integrated cassette or inset stove. Inset stoves are perfect for creating a feature wall along with inset flat screen TV’s, Soundbars etc. These can be constructed from lightweight dry-lining materials very quickly and cost effectively compared to structural brick or blockwork which is not necessary in most situations.
